It is funny how the human body is so concerned with itself.
The moment someone else is undergoing something nasty we tend not to care. We
even go to the extent of laughing at their predicament and stating how lucky we
are to be not like them. Some of us even offer to provide to the person a
solution; then seeing ourselves as the gurus.
The problem comes we find ourselves in a similar situation.
The truth then comes out and you get the chance to experience not by
imagination but direct contact the feeling the person was going through. We
realize that our former state was not of our own doing but courtesy of the
generosity of a third party. The time the third person is not around or decides
otherwise, we then come to our senses and see our own folly.
The resultant experience is not always same as the former
but will definitely bring into remembrance that which the second person went
through. And the recipient will definitely see the current state he/she is in
compared to the other person. We need not to forget our real state when we are
in a momentary state of glory. It is unwise for a peasant girl to forget her
background in the event she gets married into the nobility.
Our true selves are the foundations of who we really are and
the moment we lose them we lose ourselves. We then live in a false life,
blinded by lies, unable to see the reality. Before you laugh, sneer at somebody
know that one day you might go through a similar experience and somebody
somewhere might be doing the same to you.
